WordPress care plans

WordPress care plan monitoring for sites you already promised to watch

A care plan is a promise that the client site keeps working. MetricPoints is the watch under that promise: public checks first, optional WordPress evidence when you want application context, and an incident you can show the client.

A care plan is not an update dashboard

Agencies already have tools that update plugins, run backups, and send a monthly report. Those tools answer whether the maintenance work ran. They do not answer whether the contact form delivered, whether checkout still completes, or whether a page that returns HTTP 200 is the page the client thinks they are paying for.

MetricPoints does not replace that maintenance dashboard, and it does not bulk-manage WordPress. External monitoring starts with no plugin. The WordPress plugin is an optional evidence source for updates, cron, forms, mail handoff, and WooCommerce signals.

What the client actually asks

The call is rarely “is the homepage returning 200?” It is “the form stopped sending leads” or “the store looks open and nobody can pay.” Care-plan monitoring should be able to show the check, the time, and the recovery in one portfolio, including the client sites that are not WordPress.

  • Public checks cover uptime, TLS, DNS, redirects, forms, and important pages before anything is installed.
  • The optional plugin adds WordPress context. It does not send form contents, email bodies, or the private connector credential.
  • Confirmed problems become incidents with evidence, not a pile of green maintenance tasks.
