Terms and Conditions

Last updated: August 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services offered on https://metricpoints.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service.

2. Services

MetricPoints provides unified website monitoring and security tools including:

  • Website Coverage: Health and protection monitoring for availability, SSL, DNS, domains, Content Security Policy (CSP), security headers, browser events, and performance
  • Full Coverage: Website Coverage plus advanced developer diagnostics, including raw events, session context, replay allowances, and debugging tools

These services are available to users with an active subscription or during a valid trial period.

3. Trial Period

We offer a free trial for eligible unified website coverage plans. Important: You will be charged unless you cancel before the trial period ends. During the trial period:

  • You have access to the features included in the unified coverage plan you selected
  • A valid credit card is required to start the trial (for automatic billing after trial ends)
  • Your trial automatically converts to the selected paid unified coverage subscription after the trial period shown at checkout unless you cancel
  • You may cancel at any time during the trial to avoid charges
  • You will receive email notifications before your trial expires
  • We reserve the right to terminate trials for abuse or violation of these terms

Trial Abuse Prevention: We monitor for trial abuse including multiple accounts, fake information, or excessive usage. We may terminate trials and block access for suspected abuse.

Billing Notice: If you do not cancel your trial before it expires, you will be automatically charged for the unified coverage plan you selected. No refunds will be provided for charges incurred due to failure to cancel before trial expiration.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to MetricPoints services requires a valid subscription. Plans are billed on a monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorize MetricPoints to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

4.1 Unified Website Coverage Subscriptions

New subscriptions combine website health and protection monitoring, including availability, SSL, DNS, domains, Content Security Policy signals, security headers, browser events, and performance. Full Coverage plans also include advanced developer diagnostics such as raw events, session context, replay allowances, and debugging tools.

Coverage features may include:

  • Real-time error monitoring and alerting
  • Session replay and user journey tracking
  • Performance metrics and Web Vitals monitoring
  • Custom event tracking and analytics
  • Integration with email, Slack, and webhook notifications

4.2 Usage Limits, Fair Use, and Overage Billing

MetricPoints includes generous monthly usage limits for normal website monitoring. Usage limits are intended to protect the service from unusually high diagnostic volume, runaway error loops, excessive replay capture, misconfigured integrations, abusive traffic, or other usage that creates disproportionate infrastructure or operational cost.

Current unified usage allowances, free burst treatment, monthly caps, and any applicable overage rates are disclosed during checkout and in the account dashboard. MetricPoints does not charge unified-plan storage overages per MB or per GB. Overage charges, if active, are block-based, calculated monthly, and capped by plan. You may lower your monthly overage cap where supported.

If your site approaches or exceeds reasonable usage, we may notify you with suggestions to reduce noisy data, enable deduplication or sampling, adjust retention, reduce replay capture, fix error loops, or upgrade if you genuinely need higher capacity. At the monthly cap, MetricPoints may continue critical health and availability monitoring while sampling, limiting, or pausing high-volume diagnostic data.

MetricPoints does not sell CSP or event tracking as separate new subscriptions. You will be notified of material pricing or overage changes at least 30 days in advance, unless immediate action is required to protect the service from abuse, security risk, or operational harm.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial months or unused portions of your subscription.

After cancellation, you will lose access to all services and your data may be deleted in accordance with our data retention policy.

6. Account Suspension

Failure to maintain a valid subscription, pay applicable charges, or comply with these terms may result in suspension or termination of your account and loss of access to services, including your collected CSP data and event tracking data.

7. Data Usage and Retention

We store CSP reports, event tracking data, performance data, replay data, and related monitoring records on your behalf. You are responsible for managing your data usage across the service. MetricPoints may apply retention limits, sampling, aggregation, or deletion in accordance with your plan's limits, usage controls, and retention policy.

Data retention policies:

  • CSP Reports: Retained according to your plan's retention period and usage limits
  • Event Tracking Data: Error reports, session replays, and performance data retained according to your plan's retention period and usage limits
  • Trial Data: Trial monitoring data is retained for 30 days after trial expiration unless you convert to a paid subscription

You may export your data at any time through your account dashboard. Data deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service or use it for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive activity. This includes creating multiple trial accounts, providing false information, attempting to circumvent plan limits, intentionally sending excessive or artificial traffic, disabling deduplication to inflate usage, or using MetricPoints as a general-purpose log sink unrelated to website monitoring. MetricPoints reserves the right to limit, suspend, or terminate accounts engaged in prohibited conduct without prior notice.

9. Security and Bot Protection (Turnstile)

MetricPoints uses Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our services from automated abuse and ensure fair usage. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Turnstile may be used to verify that you are a human user and not an automated bot
  • You may be required to complete a challenge to access certain features or during high-risk activities
  • Turnstile collects certain technical information to perform its security functions
  • We may block or limit access for users who fail Turnstile verification or engage in suspicious behavior
  • Turnstile usage is subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy and terms of service

If you have accessibility needs that prevent you from completing Turnstile challenges, please contact our support team for assistance.

10. Modifications to the Service

We may modify or discontinue any aspect of the service at any time, including features, pricing, usage limits, or retention limits. We will provide reasonable advance notice for material pricing or overage policy changes when practical. Continued use after changes indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

MetricPoints shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state or country in which MetricPoints operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
