SMS Alert Policy
Last updated: September 16, 2026
1. SMS Program
MetricPoints SMS alerts are transactional website monitoring notifications. They are used to notify authorized agency team members or operational contacts about monitored-site incidents, recovery notices, escalation reminders, alert-credit status, and related account or service operations.
MetricPoints SMS alerts are not marketing messages, newsletters, promotional campaigns, or client-broadcast messaging.
2. Consent and Permission
Before a phone number is added for SMS alerts, the MetricPoints user configuring the alert route must confirm that they have permission to send transactional Twilio SMS alerts to that number. Consent must be explicit, voluntary, and separate from unrelated agreements.
By providing a phone number and opting into MetricPoints SMS alerts, you consent to receive transactional website incident and account-operation text messages from MetricPoints at that number.
3. Message Frequency and Costs
Message frequency varies based on the number of monitored sites, the alert settings chosen by your team, incident volume, recoveries, escalations, and alert-credit status. You may receive multiple messages during an active incident or no messages when no alertable incidents occur.
Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. STOP, START, and HELP
To stop receiving SMS alerts from a MetricPoints sending number, reply STOP. You may also use supported opt-out keywords such as STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, or OPTOUT where supported by the provider.
To resume messages after opting out, reply START. For assistance, reply HELP or contact [email protected].
5. Allowed Use
SMS alerts may only be used for legitimate MetricPoints service notifications related to monitored websites, incidents, recoveries, escalations, and account operations. SMS alerts may not be used for marketing, spam, harassment, fraud, unrelated customer communication, or any other use that violates applicable law, carrier requirements, Twilio policies, or other messaging-provider rules.
6. Privacy
MetricPoints uses phone numbers for the purpose of sending transactional alerts, processing opt-out and help requests, recording delivery evidence, and protecting the alerting service from abuse. MetricPoints does not sell mobile numbers and does not share mobile numbers with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
For more information, review the MetricPoints Privacy Policy.
7. Terms
Use of MetricPoints SMS alerts is also governed by the MetricPoints Terms and Conditions.
